This project explores personal archaeology, the phenomenon of memory, and the continuity of identity.

As I gaze at my own childhood photographs, I discover in them the reflection of a child who still lives within me.

The images follow one another: from mischievous and lively to quiet and solitary, with a book in hand. These early memories transport me back to a world where reality was safe, carefree and filled with warm discoveries.

About the technique: The works are based on archival photographs from a family album, transferred onto paper and embellished with hand-embroidery using coloured threads. The artist’s original graphic patterns on the mat are created by hand for each piece, transforming the frame into an extension of the embroidered scene.

Each work is unique and exists as a one-off.
